Ok so rewind way back to two weeks ago, May 14...
Family had started rolling into town. We were getting really excited. All the work and prepping had nearly been complete and we were able to enjoy some down time at the ballpark with about 20 of our closest family members.
The weather that morning started off cool, but let me tell you, sitting inside the stadium facing into the sun we were hot. On the way into the game we stopped off for a beer at the bar and to meet up with some of my dad's friends. Then we made our way to our seats where I grubbed on a hot dog and enjoyed my snow cone of sugary goodness.
After the game Jason and I were able to spend some time up at his parents' house eating dinner and catching up with his out of town family members. Thursday would lead to Friday and Friday meant more fun with family and friends!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun
Met the famous Cyndi Lauper while at the airport headed home from the Bahamas on Sunday. She had played a show on Saturday night at our resort (which we didn't go to). I would have never recognized her, but somehow Jason was poking me in the arm as we were going through the screening process saying that Cyndi was standing right in front me. Surprisingly she didn't have anyone with her, she was traveling on her own. We chatted briefly, and then made our way through customs.
I decided I can handle not being famous since I don't want the entire airport to be pointing and gawking at me as I try to find my gate to board a commercial plane.
I'm promising I'll post some actual thoughts and comments about the week leading up to the wedding, as well as about the wedding itself, just trying to get my feet back on the ground. For now, I'll leave you with "It was wonderful."

Goes Something Like This...
I'm sitting on the couch reading Real Simple, Jason is watching the baseball game on tv. I read an article and ask if he like the author's name, you know for some future child in the distance.
He says, do you want babies?
I say yes.
He says, do you want kids?
I say no. (I don't like kids at about age 8-12).
He says, when you like kids we can have babies.
I say it might be awhile.
I go back to reading my magazine, Jason goes back to watching the game...
Only about 3 more days.

Weekend in Photos
Been a busy weekend prepping for all things wedding related and celebrating my wonderful mother.
Spent several hours on Saturday and today dipping pretzels and covering every square inch of my parent's counters in a mess.

Oh Bother
Dear blog, sorry for the neglect...
Nearly another weekend without a past of the last weekend. All to really say I suppose, had a great haircut, love my new dr, and put together the out of town bags for the wedding.
Friday today, last day of work before the wedding, how fab.
Hope to post next week a few photos from this coming weekend. Don't forget to celebrate your dear mom, I know I'm looking forward to spending some time with mine.
