Another Monday morning.
This weekend, as they all do, went far too fast.
Friday I found the cutest dress after work at Forever 21. It will be so fab for the beach and for summer. I'm so glad Caitlin and Nikki wanted to kill some time there. Following the little shopping spree, some of the girls from work got together at Gloria & Mackenzie's for a wild night of chatting and laughing to say the least.
Saturday was Kristin's baby shower. It was such a pleasant time. Good snacks, fun games, and the cutest presents. Then Jason and I ran a few errands and had dinner at Mark Pi's. I had some delish pad thai.
Sunday was full of planning and lots of printing. I got everything together for the out of town bags - now they are ready to be assembled next weekend. We also took a lot of stuff over to my parents house so that all wedding items could be located in one place. Had a great meal of comfort food - meatloaf, mashed taters, biscuits, green beans.
This week is loaded. Tomorrow a meeting with the caterer, Wednesday with Kristin (can't wait), Friday hair cut and dr appt and ...drum roll... marriage license pick up!
Back to work...

Out from under the rock
Hello world...
I've not really been hiding, just maxed out with no time to post.
In case those who read really want the weekend report, nearly a week late, here you go.
Last Friday, had CWW - it snowed, and snowed and snowed. Feet it snowed. We were supposed to go up to the Boettcher for a walk through and meeting with the caterer - it didn't happen. I still made it to try on my dress at the fitting. Will be going back today hopefully for the last time before picking it up for the big day.
Saturday we stayed tucked in the house. I watched Nights in Rodanthe and really enjoyed it (Jason of course slept in and missed the chick-flick). Finally we pulled ourselves out into the blanketed world and drove in snow and rain up to Jason's parents to continue his birthday celebration. We had a great shrimp dinner and got through a few other planning items for the rehearsal and the Sunday brunch.
On Saturday my dear friend Rhonda and her husband Aaron welcomed their first child, Lillian Grace into the world. Congrats to their new and growing family. What joy.
Sunday we made our way to the Boettcher for our rescheduled meeting. Talked through all the details of the wedding. Then we hightailed it up to Boulder to meet with Judy who will be doing our ceremony. Enjoyed a great fried chicken dinner up there. I need to learn to make fried chicken, I just love it (then again, maybe my hips will thank me if I continue to not know how to cook it).
Monday we got Jason's suit for the wedding and then Tuesday we met with the DJ. Everything is falling nicely into place.
I'm in much need of a vacation. Only 2 more weeks of work until I have 2 weeks off. Can't get here soon enough.

Spring Green
The weekend was wonderful, short, but wonderful.
Friday I left work about an hour early so I could be home in time to meet Jason and my folks for his birthday dinner. We headed to The Counter for some fabulous burgers. Jason had been wanting to go there for awhile now, so this was the perfect opportunity. It was a great dinner and just a really nice evening all the way around. I also found a fab new pair of shades at Ann Taylor Loft, so it was even better.
Saturday, Jason's big 3-1 birthday, we of course had wedding errands to run. But, I'm happy to say we are the proud owners of 20 rockies tickets to make the wedding weekend that much more fun as family arrives into town. Thanks to King Soopers for doing the fab $10 deal again, and for my collection of about 10 receipts. It was a great deal. Next up, we hit up the florist, and took care of our flower order. Then after that we stopped into Chipotle where I tried their new soup (which Jason had gotten a free coupon for at the Rockies home opener). It was good, although I'm not sure if I would pay for it good. After that we went to the Denver Art Museum for their concert poster exhibit.
Neither of us knew exactly what to expect, but I must tell you, the exhibit was really well done, and we both enjoyed it a lot. It was more about the actual artists of posters than the music or bands, and since we have been to San Fran within the past year, it made it that much more enjoyable.
For dinner we went back to our new favorite White Chocolate Grill. Oh it was so good, so full, so good.
Yesterday it was a rainy Easter Sunday, but still a beautiful day for so many other reasons. Jason and I went to church on our own, as we didn't want to put about 150 miles on the car between parents, family and church. After that we met my parents and headed over to Jason's Aunt Sandy's house for a big family dinner. There were probably 20 of us there, including the babies. It is just so magical to have big family meals with running, playing, games, presents, love, laughter and togetherness.
Now it is back to a Monday. Short 4-day week with Friday being full of more wedding planning at the Boettcher (our 1 month out meeting with all the vendors) and of course more dress fittings (say a little prayer now that the weekend of food didn't spoil me fitting into that tight thing).

Power Ring
A little lunch time venture today took me to this beauty:
For less than $5 at Forever21 I am now the proud owner of this beautiful power ring. Oh happy afternoon.

Sleepy Mondays
A very successful weekend.
Friday we held our garage sale, and I was thinking if we made a few bucks and sold some of stuff we would be in good shape. Instead we lucked out, sold nearly everything and made a pretty penny in the process. We had people already waiting for our sale at 6:30 AM. Thanks Craigslist for your help in marketing our event for free. I thought we would be selling until late afternoon, however by 11:30 AM we had sold enough to close up shop. Friday night we went to Noodles (with my BOGO coupon that I got for signing up for their enews - recommend doing that). We stopped at Borders to do a little book shopping - I got 3 books from the bargain book section (they were buy 2 get 1 free - good deal). We also rented Twilight, and we both enjoyed watching that.
Saturday we were supposed to get another blizzard, so Jason and I planned to stay tucked inside cleaning the entire day, and enjoying a pot of chili for dinner. We cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more. I don't know how my house is always so messy. I guess too few square feet, combined with too much stuff, leaves a mess. We sat down on Saturday night to get our ceremony put together and get our vows figured out. We had borrowed a couple books from our officiant on weddings and picked and chose what worked best for Jason and I as a couple. Didn't think it would be so tricky, but in the end I think we were both happy with the outcome. Saturday we checked the mail and I got my lovely delivery from Jen with our guest book poster for the wedding and our new mailing address labels for our thank you cards following the wedding. A sneak peek:
Yesterday of course we hit up the grocery store. Then met Jason's parents up in Evergreen to look at a potential rehearsal dinner location - it was a bust. The El Rancho just didn't meet our needs. We then tried to go to the BBQ joint Jason and I had previously checked out, but they are closed on Sundays. So that was all a wash. Instead Jason and I grabbed a Which Wich and they were super tasty. I tried a milkshake from there and that was dangerous - so creamy and good. We purchased a frame for our guest book poster and looked for wedding bands. We quickly found a perfect one for Jason, but my band looks like it is going to be harder to find.

New Food
If you are looking for a new place to grab lunch downtown, allow me to introduce you to Intermission Cafe (no website) at 444 17th Street.
I had the fab Chicken Bacon Ranch Baked Potato - grilled chicken topped with cheddar cheese, bacon bits, tomato and ranch dressing - YUM, I'm dreaming of it.
I can't wait to go back next week for more.
PS - tried the new Bagel Poppers at Einstein's this morning, no good... wouldn't fan that on Facebook anytime soon.
